Minneapolis, Minn. - The UIC women's gymnastics team faced its fourth ranked team of the season against No. 25 Minnesota on Saturday night.

The Flames fell to the Golden Gophers 194.700-189.475.

Sarah Murray had UIC's highest finish of the night taking second on the vault with a 9.650. Murray also took third on the floor exercise posting a 9.725.

Veteran Annie Kachman garnered UIC's best individual score of the night tallying a 9.775 on the uneven bars.

Other performances highlighting the evening included a 9.750 on the uneven bars for Ashley Thurston and a 9.750 on the balance beam for Christine Girard.

Minnesota's Carmelina Carabajal led the way for the Golden Gophers taking first place honors on the vault, balance beam, floor exercise, and the all-around.

UIC looks to get back in the win column next Wednesday as they take on Northern Illinois at the UIC Physical Education Building beginning at 7 p.m.
