Bloomington-Normal, Ill. - The women's gymnastics' team garnered a school-record score of 49.275 on the floor exercise en route to a 195.35-194.80 victory over #22 ranked Illinois State on Sunday.

"It made for a great weekend," co-head coach Mary Jansson said. "We had two meets for our (Regional Qualifying Score) against a nationally ranked team."

Senior Sara Casica (Chicago, Ill./Queen of Peace) led the way for the Flames with a 9.9 on her floor routine. She finished second behind teammate Cheryl Rubinger (Stockton, Calif./Lincoln) in the all-around with a score of 38.9.

Rubinger's all-around score of 39.275 included first-place finishes in the vault (9.75) and balance beam (9.85). Junior Amy August (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles) recorded top honors on the uneven bars with a score of 9.875.

The Flames will be back in action this Saturday as they will host Western Michigan at the Physical Education Building at 7 PM.
