UIC vs. Arizona Complete Results in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

Chicago, Ill. - The UIC women's gymnastics team notched their season-high score of the year in a 194.750-192.975 defeat to No. 20 Arizona at the UIC Physical Education Building on Saturday night.

Co-captain Annie Kachman led the Flames by taking the floor exercise title with an impressive 9.850. Kachman also placed second and scored season-best scores on the uneven parallel bars (9.800) and in the all-around (39.050).

Ashley Thurston had a nice showing on the night placing fourth with a 9.750 on bars and a personal-best floor exercise score of 9.700.

The newcomers to this year's squad continued to shine with great performances on the night.

Sarah Murray earned her season-best floor exercise performance tallying a 9.825 and placing third.

Emily Fiorilli sustained solid performances for the Flames posting back-to-back 9.750 scores on the balance beam and floor exercise.

Even with strong individual efforts, the Flames also managed to garner high team scores on the year. UIC scored a season-high 47.875 on vault, 48.525 on bars, and 48.850 on the floor.

UIC will be back in action at home on Saturday, Feb. 16 as they take on Northern Illinois at the UIC Physical Education Building beginning at 5 p.m.
