Women's Gymnastics Finishes Second At Kentucky Quad With A Score Of 193.425

Lexington, Ky. - The UIC women's gymnastics team traveled to SEC country on Friday night and fared well, finishing second behind Arkansas, while defeating Texas Woman's University and Kentucky in Lexington. The Razorbcks finished with a score of 194.475, followed by the Flames (193.425), Texas Woman's (193.295) and Kentucky (192.825). Individually, UIC was impressive, as Alyson Cacciatore continued her recent trend of excellence by winning the all-around competition with a score of 39.075. Jennifer O'Neil took the title on bars with a tally of 9.825, while Veronique Meunier was the vault champ with a score of 9.925, equaling her own school record in the process.
The Flames tumble again on Saturday, February 15, when they head to Champaign to take on Illinois and Minnesota. Competition begins at 7:00 p.m. at Huff Gym on the campus of Illinois.
