    Champaign, Ill.- Backed by another outstanding performance from senior Jackie Jaworowicz and an uneven bars win from Jennifer O'Neil, the UIC women's gymnastics team took third place against Big Ten foes Iowa and Illinois and Midwest Independent rival Illinois State at Huff Hall in Champaign on Saturday night.

    UIC turned in a season-best 192.675, just short of Iowa's 194.025 and the 193.475 tally of the Illini. The Redbirds took fourth with a 187.025.

    Jaworowicz placed third in the all-around with a 38.075, taking the floor title in the process with a 9.825.

    A 9.825 also propelled fellow senior O'Neil to the bars title.

    Freshman Ashley Howe continued to shine on vault, taking fourth place overall with a team-best 9.750.

    Jessie Jaworowicz led the way on beam with a 9.725 to tie for fourth place overall.

    UIC opens the home slate this Saturday against Illinois State at the UIC Physical Education Building at 7 p.m.
