    SEATTLE - Senior Chantel Turk posted the second-best score on vault with a 9.825 mark and fourth overall Friday in  inside the Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle, Wash. UIC placed fourth with a team score of 191.350.

    Host team, Washington won the event with a 194.8 score, followed by Cal (194.125) and UC Davis claimed third place with a 193.525 team total. 

    Turk posted a 9.825 score on vault to place fourth overall, while claiming the second-best score overall. Gabrielle May placed sixth on the uneven bars with a 9.750 score. Catherine Dion claimed eighth place at 9.675 on the beam.

    May claimed a 9.6 mark on the floor exercise to finish 13th overall. Turk notched a fifth-place finish in the all-around with 38.600.

    The Flames return to action Jan. 27 as they travel Bloomington, Ill., to face MIC foe, Illinois State.
