IOWA CITY- The UIC women's gymnastics traveled to Iowa with Michigan State Friday, January 15. The Flames finished third with a score of 177.7, behind host Iowa scoring 192.225. Michigan State held the meet win with a score of 194.425.

Freshman, Emily Lawrence has proven to be a top performer earning an all-around score of 37.1. Lawrence also ranked high in vault scoring a 9.725 and on the balance beam with a score of 9.575.

Other lead performers of the night include juniors, Karen Morales earning a 9.625 on the uneven parallel bar and Emily Fiorilli having the team high score for her routine on the floor exercise of 9.65.

The Flames look forward to heading to Muncie, IN for the Ball State Invitational Sunday, January 24 at 1:00pm.
