1999: Flames' co-captain was a three-time all-conference selection after her performance at the Midwest Independent Conference Championships…she notched top-finishes on the uneven bars (9.800) and floor exercise (9.825) while finishing third on the balance beam (9.775)…named to the All-State team after scoring a career-best tying 9.900 and placing second on the floor exercise at the Illinois Classic…set her career high on the balance beam at home vs. Illinois State with a 9.875…posted a new high mark on the uneven bars against Western Michigan with a 9.875…had a first-place hat trick at Southeast Missouri State, taking the floor exercise with a career-high 9.900 and tying for the top spot on the beam with a 9.850 and uneven bars with a 9.850
1998: Strong first season for the Flames competing on the uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise…took third on the balance beam at the NIT with a career high 9.800…had one of her best meets of the season at home versus Illinois St., tallied two second place finishes with a season and personal best 9.800 on the floor exercise and a 9.700 on the balance beam…also grabbed a season and personal best 9.475 on the uneven bars at the meet…named to the Scholastic All-State and All-Conference team at the end of the season.
1997: Did not compete for the Flames last season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Personal/Prep: Signed a letter of intent to compete for the Illinois State Redbirds, but decided to attend UIC instead and will therefore retain three years of eligibility…participated in club gymnastics and was a Level 10 National Qualifier in 1992…a Level 9 & 10 Regional Qualifier from 1991-96, she captured the 1996 state championship on the balance beam and finished fourth in the all-around competition…advanced to the regionals on the beam and took home second place…majoring in Exercise Physiology…born March 7, 1978…daughter of Bonnie Berk.
