    DAY ONE RESULTS

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The UIC women's golf team concluded day one of the Delores Black Invitational Saturday in 15th place with a score of 341. The Flames collected 34 pars and two birdies. The final round starts Sunday at 7:30 a.m. CT at Stone Ridge Golf Club.

“Stone Ridge's link style design coupled with the wind certainly penalized less than perfect shots,” said UIC head coach Carol Rhoades. “Ryann, Cherise and Elizabeth are playing very consistent golf while Caitlan's dedication to scoring shots is starting to show dividends. Kayla continues her comeback from surgery and had her best holes of the spring.”

Ryann Gilley carded a 41 on the front nine for an 18-hole total of 83, which is good for 53rd place. Cherise Mangal fired a 41 on the back nine and finished one shot behind Gilley with an 84. Elizabeth Curtiss carded an 85 and finished even on the par 3s.
