UIC Women's Basketball Notes in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

Chicago, Ill. - After five straight games on the road starting in late November, the UIC women's basketball team is wrapping up 2007 at home in a matchup against Bucknell on Friday, Dec. 28 at 7:00 p.m.

This marks the first time the Flames and Bison will square off in school history.

UIC (3-7) is looking to remain undefeated at home when they battle Bucknell. Sophomore Jessie Miller averages a team-best 12.9 points per game, while junior Nikki Grobbecker owns a team-high 6.8 boards per game.

The Bison enter the contest with a 4-7 record after falling to Duke on Dec. 21, 92-49. Junior Amanda Brown paces Bucknell's offense with 12.9 points per game. Senior Hope Foster pulls down a team-best 7.1 rebounds per game.

UIC heads to Ohio to kick off its Horizon League season on January 3 and 5 to face Cleveland State and Youngstown State.
