UIC Versus Florida Atlantic Game Notes Get Acrobat Reader

Chicago, Ill. - The UIC women's basketball team will be battling for its fourth straight victory on Wednesday night at the Pavilion when they face Florida Atlantic for the first time in school history.

The Flames and the Owls (3-3) are set to square off at 7 p.m. CST.

UIC has gotten off to an incredible start in 2008-09 with a 3-0 record. The Flames have outscored their opponents, 205-174. UIC also owns a +12.0 rebounding margin and has totaled six more blocks (11) than its foes in three games.

Jessie Miller ranks seventh in the Horizon League with 16.0 points per game. Jasmine Bailey has kicked off her freshman season with an impressive 8.3 rebounds per game. Cassie Johnson leads the league in blocks with 3.0 per game.

Florida Atlantic is coming off a loss to nationally-ranked Texas on Nov. 30, 87-38.

Junior Carla Stubbs paces the Owls with 11.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game this season.

UIC welcomes Western Michigan to the Pavilion on Saturday, Dec. 6 for a 4:30 p.m. tipoff.
