Chicago, Ill. - The UIC women's basketball team continues its home stretch with a matchup against Southern Illinois Edwardsville on Sunday afternoon at the Pavilion.

The Flames (2-0) and Cougars (1-4) are set to square off at 3 p.m. CST. UIC defeated SIUE on January 12, 1985, 69-62. The Flames lead the series, 1-0.

UIC has gotten off to a solid start this season with a 2-0 record. Following a win over Bradley in their season opener, the Flames erased a 16-point deficit to down Canisius, 63-59, on Tuesday night.

Briana Hinkle was 6-for-11 from the field, totaling 15 points. After two games this season, Hinkle ranks 10th in the Horizon League with a .542 field goal percentage.

Newcomer Jasmine Bailey leads the league in every rebounding category. The St. Louis, Mo. native averages 10.5 boards per game.

SIUE will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak after falling to Milwaukee on Nov. 26 at the Klotche Center.

The Cougars are led by Jenny Wuest with 20.6 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

UIC hosts Florida Atlantic on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at the Pavilion.
