CHICAGO- The UIC women's basketball team is set to host Illinois-Springfield on Friday, Nov. 2, in its second and final exhibition game of the 2012-13 campaign.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT inside the UIC Pavilion as the Flames look to conclude the preseason with an unblemished 2-0 record.

The Flames won their first exhibition contest last Sunday as senior Taylor Foulks and junior Rachel Story combined to score 30 points in the 65-51 victory over St. Joseph's College.  Senior Heidi Dahnke showed her veteran leadership as she corralled eight boards in just 14 minutes of action.  The Flames displayed a stingy defense that forced 34 Puma turnovers, including 20 in the second half, and collected 23 steals.

UIS is led by returning senior Ashley Coffey, who ranked second on the squad in rebounding last season and junior Alyssa Palmer who ranked 13th in the Great Lakes Valley Conference for points and assists per game in 2011-12.  Friday will be the Prairie Stars first exhibition game of the season as they usher in a new head coach Chad Oletzke.

The Flames will kick off regular season play on Nov. 9 as they host Truman State at the UIC Pavilion at 7 p.m.  The opening two regular season games will be at home with their first road match on Nov. 18 at Drake.
