CHICAGO - The UIC women's basketball teamed up with Bears' wide receiver Brandon Marshall to volunteer at a Samaritan's Feet event held on the west side of Chicago this past Saturday.  The organization is sponsored by Carolina Panthers' wideout Steve Smith who was also on hand and in the city to play Chicago on Sunday afternoon.  The event was designed for those who are less fortunate to receive a pair of free shoes and a complimentary foot wash.

"I thought the event went really well," said head coach Regina Miller.  "Community service is an important part of our program and we stress to our players the value of helping those who are in need."

The team along with Marshall, Smith and several other volunteers rotated among various volunteer stations which included foot washing, shoe running, welcoming patrons, etc...
