Chicago, Ill. - After receiving Horizon League All-Newcomer Team honors following a stellar rookie season, sophomore Jessie Miller was named a 2007-08 All-Horizon League Preseason Second Team selection on Thursday afternoon.

Miller, a native from Richfield, Minn., averaged 8.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game her freshman year. The guard picked up 10 double-digit scoring contests and tabbed a season-high 24 points against Butler late in the season.

Miller led the Flames in points in five Horizon League games, while also guiding the squad in rebounds and steals on four occasions.

The guard was named Horizon League Player of the Week on Feb. 11 after averaging 17 points per game and posting a .542 field goal percentage in three games. Miller also hit 11-of-13 from three-point land and averaged 4.1 rebounds per game.
