ROSEMONT, Ill. - UIC head women's basketball coach Regina Miller and senior guard Taylor Foulks represented the Flames at the 2012 Horizon League Media Day on Monday inside the Intercontinental Hotel in Rosemont, Ill.  Miller and Foulks sat down with the Horizon League Network's Will Hasket to preview the upcoming season.

Miller welcomes eight freshmen and 10 total newcomers to this year's squad, ranking as the youngest team in the Horizon League and one of the most inexperienced in the country.  Despite losing more than 70 percent of last year's offense to graduation, the Flames received great respect in the conference's preseason poll being slotted in sixth place.

Along with senior Heidi Dahnke, Foulks will provide veteran leadership for the newcomers and has the opportunity to leave her mark as the most prolific three-point shooter in program history.  Foulks currently ranks fifth all-time on the career made-threes list with 176, needing 63 in her final season to surpass UIC Hall of Famer Joanne McCarthy for the top spot.

UIC will see its first game action on Oct. 28 with an exhibition contest against St. Joseph's College as the regular season kicks off on Nov. 9 against Truman State.
