Regina Miller Set to Host Free Coaching Clinic on Oct. 21

CHICAGO – The 2012 Regina Miller Coaching Clinic has been set for Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012 at the Flames Athletic Center on the campus of UIC, beginning at 2 p.m. CT. All interested parties are invited to attend the free event and also stick around for a UIC women’s basketball practice at 4 p.m. The clinic will include on-court demonstrations with players and coaches, offensive and defensive sets and team and individual drills. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early as registration will run from 1:15 to 1:50 p.m. Miller has 17 years of D-I head coaching experience with stops at Western Illinois, UNLV and UIC. She holds a lifetime record of 253-238 and guided the 2011-12 Flames to an 18-13 record, the second-best mark in program history. Her eighteen wins stands as the highest total for a first-year head coach in school annals as she piloted UIC to its first Horizon League Tournament victory in five years last season.
