CHICAGO - Former UIC women’s basketball player Jasmine Bailey played in her first professional game as a member of the BC Sepsi Sic Sfantu Gheorghe team on Sunday, Sept. 23 in Romania. Despite posting 10 points and eight rebounds, Bailey’s team lost, 80-61, to ICIM Arad. The forward shot 3-for-4 from the free throw line, drilled a three-pointer and added two steals in the season opener.

Bailey and her squad will look to pick up their first win as they face the BC Olimpia Brasov on Sept. 29th, a team that defeated CS Rapid Bucuresti, 80-56, starting their season 1-0.

Bailey finished her UIC career as the third-highest scorer (1,535) and rebounder (1,018) in program history. In the 2011-12 season, Bailey led the Flames to its second-best win total in school annals with an 18-13 record and was named first-team All-Horizon League.
