Women's Basketball Looks To Sweep Loyola

CHICAGO- The UIC women's basketball team is back home on Saturday to take on the Loyola Ramblers at 4:30 p.m. at the UIC Pavilion. The Flames won the first meeting between the Horizon League rivals on Jan. 30th, 70-66.
In the first game, UIC's Jessie Miller poured in a career-high 29 points. The senior scored 21-points in the second half and tied a personal-best with six three-pointers. For her performance, Miller won the Horizon League Player of the Week award.
This is the 56th meeting all-time between the two schools. Loyola holds a narrow 28-27 advantage; however, the Flames have won nine of the last 11 games and are 13-5 under current head coach Lisa Ryckbosch. Ryckbosch, nee Kasprowicz, played as a collegian for Loyola from 1980-84.
