Chicago, Ill. - The UIC women's basketball team will try and earn a split during its Wisconsin road trip as the Flames venture into the Klotsche Center on Saturday afternoon to take on Milwaukee at 2 p.m. UIC (13-11, 7-6), which is coming off of a loss on Thursday night at Green Bay, has won the last three games in the series versus Milwaukee (11-14, 6-8), including a 71-57 victory at the Pavilion earlier this season. Junior Jessie Miller has been the key to success for the Flames against the Panthers as UIC's leading scorer is averaging 17.4 points and shooting 54 percent from the field in five all-time meetings with Milwaukee. In her last trip to the Klotsche Center, Miller poured in a career-high 27 points, going 5-for-8 from three-point range. Miller will also be looking to reach a personal milestone on Saturday as she is seven points away from becoming the 14th UIC player, and just the third junior, to reach 1,000 career points. Milwaukee will counter with All-America candidate Traci Edwards. The senior center, who will be playing in her final regular season home game, leads the Panthers, averaging a Horizon League-best 18.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. She scored 34 points and added 14 rebounds in a loss to Loyola on Thursday. The contest will go a long way in determining the postseason fate for both schools as UIC enters the game tied for fourth with Valparaiso in the Horizon League standings, while Milwaukee sits just a game and a half back in sixth place.
