UIC Women's Basketball Game Notes in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

Chicago, Ill. - The UIC women's basketball is looking to pick up its third straight win in a matchup against Butler on Thursday night. Tipoff at Hinkle Fieldhouse is set for 6 p.m.

Butler leads the series 21-16. UIC fell to the Bulldogs in its first regular season contest at the Pavilion on Jan. 12.

The Flames (8-12, 4-5) are coming off a 30-point victory (66-36) over Detroit on Feb. 2 at the Pavilion. Sophomore Jessie Miller led UIC with 12 points. Sophomore Cassie Johnson followed with 10 points. Freshman Shanice Sadler tied her season-high nine rebounds and added six points on the afternoon.

Butler (14-6, 4-5) enters the contest after dropping Youngstown State (63-48) at home on Feb. 2. On the season, the Bulldogs are paced by junior Lade Akande with 15.8 points per game. Sophomore Susan Lester owns a team-best 7.7 rebounds per game.

UIC faces Valparaiso on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 1:35 p.m. at Athletics-Recreation Center.
