UIC vs. Detroit Game Notes Get Acrobat Reader

Chicago, Ill. - The UIC women's basketball team welcomes Detroit in its second Horizon League matchup on Monday night at the UIC Pavilion.

UIC (7-4, 1-0) and Detroit (5-7, 1-0) are set to collide at 7 p.m. CST. Despite recent success against UDM, the Titans lead the series, 18-15.

The Flames are coming off a 60-47 win over Wright State at the UIC Pavilion on Saturday afternoon. Redshirt freshman Shameia Green led UIC for the first time in her career with a season-best 15 points.

Jasmine Bailey recorded a team-high six rebounds and six steals. Cassie Johnson grabbed three blocks, while Meghan Hutchens dished out a career-high five assists.

Detroit downed Loyola, 71-64, in Chicago on Jan. 3 in its Horizon League opener. Two players tabbed double-doubles versus the Ramblers.

Redshirt freshman Talicia Washington led the Titans with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Sandi Brown also recorded a double-double with 12 points and a team-best 11 boards.

UIC hits the road for three straight road games from Jan. 10-17. The Flames start the stretch with a contest against crosstown rival Loyola on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 2 p.m.
