Chicago, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago junior point guard Chrissy Dizon led four players in double-figures with 20 points to lift the host Flames to the 78-76 non-conference victory over Southeast Missouri State at the UIC Pavilion on Saturday night.
"I feel like everyone contributed, brought energy and played a part in our victory today," UIC Head Coach Lisa Ryckbosch said.
Free throw shooting proved to be key for UIC as the Flames knocked down 23-of-28 (82.1%) from the charity stripe.
With the victory, UIC improves to 3-8 on the season, while the Otahkians fall to 4-4 overall.
SEMO center Tatiana Conceicao paced the Otahkians offensive attack with 23 points, followed by Simone Jackson (12 points).
The Flames will be back in action on Thursday, as they will host cross-town rival, Loyola, at 5:00 p.m. in the UIC Pavilion.
