Chicago, Ill. - The UIC women's basketball team continued its winning streak on Wednesday night with a 53-40 win over Florida Atlantic at the Pavilion. The Flames move to a perfect 4-0 on the season, while the Owls fall to 3-4. "Our defense was really solid at times and holding FAU to just 40 points is impressive," said head coach Lisa Ryckbosch. "If we can match our offensive production with our defense, we will be very good this year." Briana Hinkle paced UIC's offense with 14 points. Hinkle, Jessie Miller and Cassie Johnson each totaled six rebounds on the night. Miller also recorded 11 points, two assists and three steals. Carla Stubbs drained three three-pointers en route to a team-high 13 points. Jessica Knurick led the Owls with a game-high 11 boards. UIC jumped out to an early 11-5 lead to open the first half.
