Chicago, Ill. - The UIC women's basketball team was eliminated by Loyola in the first round of the 2008 Horizon League Tournament on Monday night in a heartbreaking 73-69 overtime loss at the Pavilion.

The Flames end the season with a 10-20 overall record.

Sophomore Jessie Miller notched her second career double-double with a game-high 22 points and 14 rebounds. Sophomore Cassie Johnson picked up a career-high five blocks and tied her season-high with 11 points.

UIC rallied from a four-point deficit with 39 seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime. Miller hit a pair of free throws to get the Flames within a bucket, and Briana Hinkle converted a Loyola turnover into the game-tying basket on a short jumper with 14 seconds left.

In the extra session Loyola used a 7-0 run, capped by two Keisha Collins free throws, to go ahead 70-63. UIC would get withing four, but that's as close as the Flames could get.
