    Chicago, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago sophomore guard LaShonda Grant led four players in double-figures with 17 points, including five three-pointers, to lift the host Flames to their eighth straight win and the 74-70 Horizon League victory over Butler in front of a school-record crowd of 2,920 at the UIC Pavilion on Wednesday afternoon.

    With another victory, UIC will tie the school-record of nine consecutive wins, set during the 1979-80 campaign.

    Senior forward Dejeanette Flournoy (12 rebounds), junior point guard Chrissy Dizon and sophomore forward Jacquay Holmes each scored 16 points in the victory for the Flames.

    Dizon dished out a team-high seven assists, leading the Flames to a season-high, 24 helpers on the afternoon.

    UIC improves to 12-11 overall and 9-3 in the Horizon League, while the Bulldogs drop to 10-12 on the campaign and 4-7 in conference play.

    Butler center Cortney Urquhart topped the Bulldogs with a game-high 20 points, followed by Jackie Closser (14 points) and Ashley Brenden (10 points).

    The Flames will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, as they will welcome Wright State to the UIC Pavilion for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off.
