    Final Stats

Chicago, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago junior guard Chrissy Dizon led four players in double-figures with a double-double of 20 points and 10 assists, propelling the host Flames to their fourth straight victory with a 82-70 triumph over Cleveland State at the UIC Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.

Dizon's 10 assists, pushed UIC to a season-high 23 helpers, while committing a season-low, nine turnovers. The 82 points tied a season-high, set earlier in the season against Southeast Missouri State on Nov. 27th.

Senior forward Dejeanette Flournoy added 17 points for the Flames, followed by sophomore guard LaShonda Grant (16 points) and senior forward Amber Washington (10 points).

With the victory, UIC improves to 8-11 overall and 5-3 in Horizon League play, while the Vikings drop to 2-16 on the campaign and 1-6 in conference action.

Cleveland State guard Erin Martin posted a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds, while teammate Betsy Bowser added 17 points off the bench.

Bowser finished the game with four treys, leading the visiting Vikings to season-best, 12 three-pointers on the afternoon. Turnovers, however, proved to be the downfall for Cleveland State, as they committed 22 miscues, leading to 20 points for the Flames.

The Flames will be back in action on Thursday evening, as they will travel to Ohio to square off with Youngstown State for a Horizon League tilt at 6:00 p.m. in the Beeghly Center.
