Western Kentucky Holds Off Women's Basketball, 62-54|

Bowling Green, Kent. - It was a tale of two different halves for the University of Illinois at Chicago women's basketball squad against Western Kentucky on Sunday afternoon.
The Flames knocked down 50% of their shots in the second half and outscored the Hilltoppers, 40-28.
Unfortunately for UIC, the Flames were unable to overcome an 18.5% (5-for-27) shooting performance in the opening 20 minutes, as the host Hilltoppers picked up the 62-54 non-conference victory at E.A. Diddle Arena.
UIC forward Dejeanette Flournoy led the Flames with 20 points and 12 rebounds, her seventh double-double of the season. The Flames also received solid performances from freshmen Krystal Hugelier (9 points) and Jacquay Holmes (8 points).
With the victory, Western Kentucky improves to 6-8 on the campaign, while the Flames fall to 6-8 overall.
Western Kentucky guard Tiffany Porter-Talbert led the Hilltoppers with a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while teammate Leslie Logsdon chipped in 13 points and eight steals.
UIC will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, as they will host Wright State in a Horizon League tilt at 5:30 p.m. in the UIC Pavilion.
