Martin Henry joined UIC in Sept. of 2013 as the Director of Operations for the women's basketball program. Henry performs logistical functions of coordinating personnel and acts as a liaison between the athletic director, coaches and players. Further, Henry manages academics, team budget, time schedules, inventory and summer camp marketing strategies.
Henry served as UIC women's basketball video coordinator from January 2013 to July 2013, where he managed video editing through programs such as Sports Tec Sportscode, Ezexchange, Synergy, FastScout and FastDraw. He implemented procedures to ensure team managers and equipment were prepared for practices and games, while also assisting coaches in organizing scouting reports and evaluating prospects.
From 2010-12, Henry was the UIC men's basketball head team manager. He undertook administrative duties such as maintaining player records and game statistics. Henry also solicited, promoted and organized basketball training camps for varying skill levels. He upheld athletic facilities such as the gymnasiums, locker room and weight rooms.
Henry received his Associates in Arts from Lake Land College in 2010 and graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, Law and Justice and a minor in history.
