Women's Basketball Celebrates Historic Season at Awards Banquet

Overlooking the Chicago River and city skyline, the UIC women's basketball team had much to celebrate on Wednesday night at the annual awards banquet, following its historic 2011-12 season. The squad finished with an 18-13 record, the second-most wins in school history and reached the semifinal round of the Horizon League tournament for the first time since 2007.
Jasmine Bailey Prepares For Final Four Camp

UICFlames.com recently witnessed Jasmine Bailey's final workout before she heads to Denver, Colo., to participate in the Women's Basketball Final Four Evaluation Camp. Bailey ended her career at UIC as the program's third all-time leading scorer (1,535) and third all-time leading rebounder (1,018).
Registration Opens for 2012 Regina Miller Basketball Camp

Fresh off of her historic inaugural season as head coach of the UIC Flames, Regina Miller recently opened registration for her 2012 summer basketball camps. Youth players will be given instruction from one of the Horizon League's top coaching staffs with skill development drills and competitions.
Bailey Named to Horizon League All-Tournament Team

UIC senior women's basketball player Jasmine Bailey was named to the 2011-12 Horizon League All-Tournament team, announced by conference officials Sunday after the championship game. Bailey averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds, while shooting 14-of-24 (.583) from the field in two tournament affairs.
Flames Defeated in Semifinals by #10/10 Green Bay, 73-53

In front of a crowd nearly 2,500 strong, the UIC women's basketball team suffered a 73-53 defeat against #10/10 Green Bay in the semifinal round of the Horizon League Tournament inside the Kress Events Center on Friday night. Senior Jasmine Bailey led all players with 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting.
Flames Set For Semifinal Showdown with No. 1 seed Green Bay

The UIC women's basketball team prepares to take on No. 1 seed Green Bay in the semifinal round of the Horizon League Tournament. The contest is set for Friday at 7:30 p.m. CT inside the Kress Events Center. The last time these two squads met in the postseason, UIC defeated the Phoenix by a final of 74-62, which was in the semifinals of the 2005-06 season.
