Former Flame Excels in Pro Basketball

Former UIC women's basketball standout, Jasmine Bailey, recently finished her first season of professional basketball with Sf. Gheorghe in Romania. During the regular season, Bailey led her team in points (17.4) and steals (2.8) per game, while ranking second in rebounds (7.4), assists (3.4) and blocked shots (0.6). Sf. Gheorghe ended their regular season fourth in the Liga Standings with a 20-7 record.
Registration Opens for 2013 Regina Miller Basketball Camps

Head coach Regina Miller and the UIC women's basketball program recently opened registration for a trio of camps that will commence during the summer for teams and individuals. The Team Camp will take place on June 1-2, the Parent-Daughter Camp will be on June 16th (Father's Day) and the Elite Camp will span from Aug. 5-7.
Women's Basketball Claims Two All-League Honorees

Two UIC women's basketball players picked up All-Horizon League honors as the conference office announced its annual award winners on Monday afternoon. Redshirt junior Katie Hannemann was voted to the second-team All-League, while Junior Rachel Story was selected to the All-Newcomer squad. The duo combined to average nearly 30 points per game and led the Flames' in scoring in 24 of their 29 regular season contests.
UIC's Comeback Falls Short at No. 8 seed Valparaiso, 67-57

The ninth-seeded UIC women's basketball team (9-21, 5-11) concluded its season on Monday night with a 67-57 loss at No. 8 seed Valparaiso in the first round of the 2013 Horizon League Tournament. Facing a 12-point deficit with less than 10 minutes to play, the Flames outscored the Crusaders 13-4 over the next five minutes and kept battling until the final horn.

Flames Fall Short Against Loyola on Senior Day, 78-68

Senior guard Taylor Foulks poured in 16 points in her final game at the UIC Pavilion, but the UIC women's basketball team came up short in a 78-68 decision against visiting Loyola in the regular season Horizon League finale for both teams Saturday afternoon.
