Des Moines, Iowa - Sophomore Terell Williams broke his own school record en route to a fourth place finish in the decathlon on Thursday at the prestigious Drake Relays.

Williams finished the two-day competition with a school-record point total of 6,487, shattering his previous high-water mark of 6,245 set back on April 7 at the Chicagoland Championships.

Williams' score was also the highest total put up by a Horizon League competitor this season.

The Rock Island, Ill., native's best finishes in the 10-event competition came in the pole vault, where he tied for first by clearing the bar at 4.65m, and in the 100-meter dash in which he took third with a time of 11.32.
