Sophomore Terell Williams Named Horizon League Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week

Chicago, Ill. - The Horizon League announced on Tuesday evening, that University of Illinois at Chicago sophomore field specialist Terell Williams (Rock Island, Ill./Rock Island) has been named the Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 24th.
Williams took home three, first-place marks to propel the men's track and field squad to a third-place finish at the Fifth Annual Puma Invitational, hosted by St. Joseph, on Saturday afternoon.
The Rock Island, Ill., native picked up the long jump title with a season-best leap of 6.83 meters, along with wins in the triple jump (13.22 meters) and the javelin (43.66 meters).
UIC will be back in action on Saturday morning, as they will travel to Normal, Ill., to participate in the Redbird Invitational, hosted by Illinois State, at 9:00 a.m. (CST).
