    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- The men's and women's track & field teams concluded action at the Butler invitational Saturday afternoon, as they competed in their first outdoor meet.

    The women's squad was dominated by juniors Lauren Lindholm and Rebecca Zaiter, who ran in the 1500-meter run finishing with times of 4:56.66 and 4:59.34, respectively.

    On the men's side, Martin Hunter took home top honors in the 100-meter dash crossing the finish line in just 11.30 seconds. Hunter also placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.39. 

    Teammates Gunnar Sterne and Lucas Beltran competed in the 3000-meter run, finishing with times of 8:56.84 and 9:23.97, respectively.

    Seyi Ogunleye placed first in the men's triple jump with a mark of 13.73 meters. 

    The UIC outdoor track & field season will continue as the teams travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, March 28.
