Stillwater, Okla. -The UIC cross country team concluded the 2003 season on Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Region V Championships hosted by Oklahoma State with the women's team placing 12th in a 24-team field while the men's squad took 19th out of 22 schools competing.

Senior Jenni Goebel paced the women's team, crossing the finish line in 21st place with a time of 22:05. Lizet Diaz (66th/23:11), Rachel Covert (89th/23:36) and Lisa Petty (93rd/23:42) all finished among the top 100 finishers for the Flames.

On the men's side, junior Mikhail Davidyan led the way, placing 81st with a time of 33:14. Jose Macias wrapped up a strong rookie campaign by fcracking the top 100 with a 97th-place finish.
