CHICAGO - The UIC men's and women's cross country teams concluded action at the 2012 Bradley Classic as junior Photis Karkalis set a new career best in the 8K, piloting the men's squad to ninth place finish.  Grace Millhorn paced the women's team in the 6K race as they placed 17th.

"We had some good efforts today," said head coach Jim Knoedel.  "With some early set backs in the men's race we were unable to recover and did not meet expectations.  The women had great performances, but some of the runner were a little tired from the workouts this past week."

The Flames take a break from action until the Horizon League Championships on Oct. 27 in Kenosha, Wis.
