Naperville, Ill. - For the third time in his career, Terell Williams broke his own school record in the decathlon while competing at the Gregory Multi-Event Invitational on Wednesday afternoon.

The senior scored an impressive 6,666 points, besting his previous record of 6,487 points set back on April 28, 2006 at the Drake Relays.

Along with setting the school decathlon record, Williams also managed to record season-best scores in five events. He posted marks of 11.13 seconds in the 100-meter dash, 6.85 meters in the long jump, 52.82 seconds in the 400-meter dash, 4.60 meters in the pole vault, and 5:05.49 in the 1,500-meter run.

Last week, Williams also qualified for the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships by winning the javelin title at the Horizon League Track & Field Championships.
