Men's Track and Field Takes Home Two Titles at Redbird Invite|

Normal, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago sophomore field specialist Terell Williams turned in three, personal-records to lead the men's track and field squad at the Redbird Invite, hosted by Illinois State, on Saturday afternoon.
Williams placed second overall in the long jump (6.92 meters); fifth in the javelin (48.58 meters) and sixth in the triple jump (13.85 meters). He also ran the anchor leg of the third-place, 4x400 relay squad (3:24.38).
The Flames' 4x100 relay also placed fourth with a time of 41.77.
Junior transfer Marcus Lesley won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.74, while sophomore Jim Sulzberger captured the 5,000-meter run title with a time of 15:22.4. Sulzberger's teammate Joseph Mbari placed fourth in the event with a mark of 15:55.5.
Sophomore sprinter Trent Thompson earned a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash (48.79), while teammate Brandon Cook earned a pair of top-five finishes in both the 100-meter dash (5th, 11.17) and 200-meter dash (21.88).
UIC will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, as they will travel to Indianapolis, Ind., to participate in the Butler Open at 1:00 p.m. (CST).
