    Benedictine Twilight Results

    LISLE, Ill.- The UIC men's track & field team collected its first team title of the outdoor season Friday, when the Flames racked up 103 points to pull away from the 14-team field. Between the men's and women's teams, UIC collected six individual titles and a total of five second-place finishes.

    UIC's closest competitor on the men's side was Illinois State, which scored 101 team points. The Flames also defeated the likes of Marquette, Loyola and North Central. The women's team finished sixth in the 15-team field, just four points shy of fifth-place Wisconsin.

    Anthony Hollingsworthenjoyed a dominant individual performance, finishing first in both the 100-meter (10.77 seconds) and 200-meter dash (21.88 seconds). He also anchored the first-place 4x100 meter relay, which crossed the finish line in 41.48 seconds.

    Richmond Richter also took home medalist honors in the triple jump (14.46 meters). Recording second-place finishes on the men's side was Ryan Blackmon in the 400-meter dash (48.96 seconds), Gunnar Sterne in the 800-meter run (1:53.30) and Martin Hunterin the 200-meter dash (21.97 seconds). The men's 4x400 relay also took second, crossing the finishing line in 3:19.31.

    On the women's side, senior Ariel Butzine captured the individual title in the 800-meter run (57.00 seconds), while senior Andrea Crump leaped 11.79 meters en route to medalist honors in the triple jump. Senior Aimee Schuhfinished second in the 100-meter hurdles (14.88 seconds), and third in the long jump (5.42 meters).
