    West Lafayette, Ind. - Freshman Wilmer Fernandez placed sixth overall in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.68 to lead the University of Illinois at Chicago track and field team at the Boilermaker Invitational, hosted by Purdue, on Saturday afternoon.

    UIC will be back in action on Friday afternoon, as they will travel to Indianapolis, Ind., to participate in the Butler Open.
