Lawrence, Kansas - Senior Neto Alexander placed eighth overall in the 100-Meter Dash at the 74th annual Kansas Relays with a time of 10.85.

The men's distance medley relay team also turned in a solid performance with a third-place finish of 10:16.85.

On the women's side, Monieka Thompson (Chicago, Ill./Steinmetz) raced to a sixth-place finish of 2:12.71 in the second section of the 800-Meter Run.

UIC will have two squads in action this weekend as the Flames will travel to Des Moines, Iowa on Friday to participate in the prestigious Drake Relays. The Flames will also host the first annual UIC Invitational at St. Ignatius High School on Saturday at 9 a.m.
