LISLE, Ill. - The UIC men's track & field squad placed third at the Eagle Invitational, hosted by Benedictine University on Saturday afternoon.

Behind four individual winners, the Flames finished third with 74.5 points, behind winner University of Chicago (101) and Harper College (86.3333) leading the 20-team field at the site of the Horizon League Championships, held May 1-3.

In the distance events, Lewis Brown won the 800 in 1:53.31, while Matt Morse outpaced the field by over 25 as he set a new meet record with his 5k victory in 14:50.77.

Nic Aubert was also victorious in the 3000 steeplechase with a 9:53.61 performance on Saturday.

Andy Wall represented the Flames in the field events, winning the high jump (1.91m) and placing fourth in the triple jump in 13.93 meters.

The Flames travel to Wisconsin next weekend for the Marquette Twilight invitational on Friday the 24th.
