Men's Track and Field Places Seventh At Elmhurst Invitational|

Elmhurst, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago freshman Mike Savegnago picked up a pair of first-place finishes in both the high jump and pole vault to lead the Flames to a seventh-place finish at the Elmhurst Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Savegnago turned in a winning high jump of 1.88 meters, followed by a first-place pole vault of 4.27 meters to pace the Flames on the afternoon.
Wheaton won the overall title with 151 points, followed by University of Chicago (115.5), Elmhurst (103), College of DuPage (91), DePaul (64), Harper (60.5), UIC (58), Aurora (36) and Lewis (25).
Freshman Will Reeves picked up a second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line in 58.22.
Freshman Terrell Williams picked up a pair of top-four finishes with a third-place finish in the triple jump (12.82 meters) and a fourth-place mark in the long jump (6.35 meters).
UIC will be back in action on Friday afternoon, as they will be participating in North Central's Chicagoland Championships, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
