    CHICAGO- Event victories by Brandon Stoffregen and Andy Wall helped the UIC men's track and field team win the 2009 Viking Classic hosted by North Park University on Saturday, Mar. 28.

    The Flames placed first out of eight teams.

    Stoffregen won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:03.47, while Wall took the high jump title with a performance of 1.89 meters.

    UIC also came out victorious in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of :45.17.

    Other notable showings included Cory Renner's second-place time of :11.91 in the 100 meter dash and Tyler Hinckley's 5000-meter run time of 16:10.37 that was good for second place.

    UIC heads to the Elmhurst Invitational hosted by Elmhurst College on April 4.
