Ann Arbor, Mich. - UIC's Neto Alexander made his own `Daily Double' on Saturday as he won both the 60-meter and 200-meter events in the Flames first-ever official appearance at the Midwestern Collegiate Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Alexander's two titles helped him earn MCC Co-Performer of the Meet, along with UW-Milwaukee's Kyle Hueber. The senior took the 60-meter dash in a time of :07.01 to set a new meet record. He captured the 200-meter crown in a time of 22.28.

The Flames' Rich Daubert also gave the team a top-three finish as he took second in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:58.89

Despite Alexander's two first-place finishes, the men's team could not move out of fifth place, totaling 32 points at the meet. UW-Milwaukee used five individual first-place finishes to win the MCC title with 109 points, edging out Detroit, which finished with a total of 104. Butler finished third with 58 points, followed by Loyola (54) and UIC.
