Men's Track And Field Finishes Third At UW-Milwaukee Panther Tune-up

Milwaukee, Wis. - University of Illinois at Chicago junior sprinter Marcus Lesley picked up a first-place mark in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.02 to lead the Flames to a third-place finish at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Tune-Up at the Klotsche Center on Friday night.

The Flames earned their lone victory over cross-town rival, Loyola, 75-65; while being out-pointed by both Marquette (92-44) and the host Panthers (101-44).

On the evening, UW-Milwaukee went undefeated with three victories, followed by Marquette (2-1), UIC (1-2) and Loyola (0-3).

Sophomore Terrell Williams earned a runner-up finish in the triple jump with a personal-best, leap of 13.28 meters. Teammate Joshua McNabb finished close behind with a jump of 12.88 meters for third-place.

UIC also received a second-place mark from their 4x400 relay team of Mike Grossman, Will Reeves, Trent Thompson and Joe Jambrone as the quartet crossed the finish line in 3:30.79.

Junior transfer Brandon Cook rounded out the top-three finishers for UIC, with a third-place time of 22.9 in the 200-meter dash.

UIC will be back in action on Saturday evening, as they will travel to DePauw, Ind., to participate in the Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Butler, at 5:00 p.m.
