Romeoville, Ill. - The UIC indoor track and field team continued its 2007 campaign on Saturday afternoon at the Dick Pond Invitational hosted by Lewis University. Senior Rowsha LaBranche and rookie Amesha Baker paced the women's team while junior Terell Williams and sophomore Mike Savegnago led the men's squad.

LaBranche notched a pair of top-four finishes at the event, taking second in the 400-meter dash in 1:01.14 while placing fourth in the 200-meter dash (27.46).

Baker, meanwhile, recorded her first collegiate individual event title, taking the triple jump crown with a personal best leap of 11.40m. The freshman would also take second in the 55-meter hurdles in 8.92.

On the men's side, Savegnago won the high jump, clearing 1.93m while placing second in the pole vault (4.58m). Williams finished second in the triple jump with a leap of 13.36m and placed fourth in the 55-meter hurdles (8.12).

The Flames will be back in action on Friday at the UWM Tune-Up in Milwaukee, Wis.
