Charleston, Ill. - Senior Rich Daubert raced to a fourth-place finish in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:47.62 to lead the University of Illinois at Chicago men's track and field team at the Eastern Illinois Mega Meet on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Joe Marren finished close behind Daubert with a mark of 8:54.19.

Freshman Chris Williams also picked up a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 22'8 ½" in his first collegiate meet.

The Flames also received a pair of 10th-place finishes from both Tristan Roche (2:03.63, 800-meter run) and Nick Gazis (46'5 ½").

UIC will be back in action on Saturday, as they will travel to Ohio to participate in the Kent State Open at 9:00 a.m. (CST).
