    Charleston, Ill. - For the second week in a row, University of Illinois at Chicago junior sprinter Marcus Lesley set the school-record in the 60-meter hurdles with a second-place time of 8.13 at the Eastern Illinois Megameet on Sunday afternoon.

    Last week, Lesley finished fifth overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.36, breaking Barry Somerville's four-year old mark of 8.64.

    Eastern Illinois won the overall title with 172 points, followed by UMKC (80) and UIC (18).

    Senior throwing specialist Nick Gazis picked up a sixth-place finish in the shot put with a career-best, heave of 14.85 meters.

    In the weight throw, junior Pat Redden picked up a season-best mark of 13.37 meters, while the Flames' other participant in the event, Don Sica, finished 13th with a throw of 10.62 meters.

    UIC will be back in action on Saturday morning, as they will travel to Champaign, Ill., to participate in the Illinois Invitational at 10:00 a.m.
