    Madison, Wis. - Junior Tristan Roche earned a victory in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:01.64 in his heat at the Badger Track Classic, hosted by the University of Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon.

    "I was very pleased with Tristan's performance," UIC head coach Jim Knoedel said. "He did very, very well."

    Freshman Steve Jeske placed third overall in the 800-meter run with a mark of 2:07.62.

    Junior Bob Thurnhoffer took home a second-place finish in his heat of the 200-meter dash, crossing the line in 25.31. Senior Joe Kepinski was third in his 200-meter dash head with a mark of 24.89.

    Sophomore Les Downing was third in his heat of the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.46.

    UIC will be back in action on Saturday, January 18th, as they will travel to Charleston, Ill., to participate in the Eastern Illinois Open at 9:00 a.m.
