2007-08 Highlights: Earned All-Horizon League accolades during the indoor and outdoor seasons...led UIC in the 55- and 60-meter hurdles during the indoor campaign...won the pole vault title with a career-best mark of 4.70m at the Dick Pond Invitational on Feb. 9...garnered Horizon League Athlete of the Week honors on Feb. 13...during the outdoor season, captured the decathlon title (6,477) at the Lee Calhoun Memorial Invitational on April 10...won the javelin crown with a mark of 53.30 meters and finished third in the pole vault (4.60m) at the Horizon League Outdoor Championships on May 9...set the school decathlon record with a score of 6,666 points at the Gregory Invitational on May 14.
2006-07 Highlights: Won the triple jump (13.41m) at the UWM Double Dual on Feb. 17...took second place in the triple jump (13.36m) and fourth in the 55-meter hurdles (8.12) at the Dick Pond Invitational on Feb. 10...placed second in the decathlon with a score of 6,033 points at the Chicagoland Championships...took second in the javelin throw (50.17m) at the Redbird Invitational on Apr. 28...placed third in the pole vault with a mark of 4.45m at the Horizon League Outdoor Championships...finished fourth in the long jump finals (6.63m) and in the triple jump finals (13.46m) at the Horizon League Outdoor Championships...won the league title in the javelin throw with a 52.36m at the Horizon League Outdoor Championships...Horizon League decathlon champion (6,464).
2005-06 Highlights: Horizon League Champion in the decathlon...set the school record in the decathlon at the Drake Relays on April 27, totaling 6487 points...took second in the league championships in the javelin with a personal-best toss of 52.00m...also placed seventh in the long jump and ninth in the triple jump at the league championships...named Horizon League Athlete of the Week on April 11...versatile performer competed in seven different events during the indoor season, owning the top team finishes in the high jump, pole vault, long jump and triple jump...placed second at the Horizon League Indoor Championships in the pole vault (4.46m) and triple jump (14.03m)...also finished in the top 10 at the league championships in the 60-meter hurdles (8.56/4th), high jump (1.84m/6th) and long jump (6.33m/10th)...took third in the long jump at the Carthage Invite with a season best leap of 6.75m.
2004-05 Highlights: Named UIC's Most Valuable Performer...earned a trio of top three finishes at the Horizon League Indoor Championships, including: long jump (2nd, 6.81 meters), pole vault (3rd, 4.45 meters) and weight throw (3rd, 15.58 meters)...his mark of 6.81 meters in the long jump was the second longest Horizon League Indoor tally and his mark of 13.28 in the triple jump was the third longest leap in the Horizon League...placed third in the pole vault (4.19 meters) at the University of Chicago Open...gathered a second-place mark in the pole vault (4.15 meters) at the Redbird Invitational...took home a pair of third place finishes in the pole vault (4.34 meters) and long jump (6.63 meters) at the Tadd Metzger Invitational...garnered a runner-up finish in the triple jump (13.28 meters) at the UW-Milwaukee Tune-up...placed second overall in the triple jump at the Horizon League Outdoor Championships with a leap of 13.85 meters...earned three more top six finishes at the outdoor championships, including: pole vault (3rd, 4.15 meters), javelin (4th, 48.06 meters) and long jump (6th, 6.47 meters)...finished second overall in the long jump (6.92 meters) and added personal bests in both the javelin (48.58 meters) and triple jump (13.85 meters)...captured three first-place marks in the long jump (6.83 meters), triple jump (13.22 meters) and javelin (43.66 meters) at the Puma Invitational...took home a third-place finish in the pole vault (4.27 meters) at the Wheaton Invitational...garnered a third-place mark in the triple jump (13.65 meters) at the Chicagoland Championships...placed in the top-four in both the triple jump (3rd, 12.82 meters) and long jump (4th, 6.35 meters) at the Elmhurst Invitational...won the pole vault event at the Jerry England Invitational with a mark of 4.26 meters...his mark of 4.4 meters in the pole vault in the Chicagoland Championships tied him for third overall in the Horizon League...earned a team-season best and the Horizon League's second-best long jump with a leap of 6.92 meters at the Redbird Invitational.
Prep/Personal: Helped Rock Island to a runner-up finish in the state finals as a senior and a fifth-place mark as a junior...two-time, Western Big Six Academic All-Conference selection...advanced to the state tournament in the 300-meter hurdles...was an All-Conference Honorable Mention selection as a defensive back and was selected to the Academic All-Conference squad...finished second in the Western Big Six Conference Diving Championships in his first year of competitive diving as a senior...son of Jim Horton and Elizabeth Williams...born July 5, 1985...major is computer engineering.
